Not many people outside of Nottingham will recall, the swashbuckling side Forest from the 2002/03 season, but they offer a pertinent warning of Bolton Wanderers. Eight years ago, Paul Hart almost led Forest to promotion to the Premier League, lost 5-4 on aggregate only in the semi-final play-off to Sheffield United. His side was partly due to the lock-pick, which doubles as the left foot of Andy Reid, but also on the goals by Marlon Harewood before Darren Huckerby and David Johnson. It would have been difficult to mount a stronger attack in the championship.

In between the three strikers scored 53 goals in the league (Huckerby was on loan from Manchester City, signed in February and had five in 11 games). The next season should see the forest can continue to make progress. Instead crashed. Huckerby, the city had returned, but joined Forest 's promotion rivals, Norwich City, and helped them win the league with eight points. In September, Johnson and his leg broke in October, Harewood was sold to West Ham United. Because without Lee and Holden, Bolton 's in the middle suddenly feel a rather average. In the middle, Fabrice Muamba effectively destroyed and Mark Davies is a clever player who should develop further if he gets more playing time this season. In my opinion, this season will be a case of building for the season after. With all the changes that 's happening, I think it's more likely. However, Andy Scott 's interviews, he seems to be hoping to win the league. I think we 'll never know until well into May.

Wycombe 's "goal that never was" us against them by a point and place to stay in League Two was promoted. However, it was not a disaster last season with club legend and manager Graham Turner Town, Shrewsbury are now very much a pass-and-move side. Swindon have had no real test as of yet in pre-season so it is hard to make an accurate prediction. However, from what I have seen I would disappointed with anything less than automatic promotion.

25 April 2011 was a glorious day in more ways than one. It was a warm spring day and Bury were at the B2net Stadium to play the champions elect Chesterfield. What followed although seemingly close on paper, was one of the finest Bury displays in recent times. The result of which (2-3) saw Bury return to the third tier for the first time since 2002. Traditionally a third tier team, Bury are statistically back where they belong.

Will Hide emulate their noisy neighbors, or are they an immediate return to League Two, where they have been for the best part of the last decade? I think with a few more autographs (which I predict will follow in the coming weeks) may reduce Bury white mid-table and maybe even the upper end to squeeze in half. Carlisle United

The aspirations of Charlton fans are higher than for several years, with the downward spiral of the past five seasons confidently expected to be reversed.

The change of ownership, and return of club legend Chris Powell as manager, buoyed the fans at the beginning of the year. After winning his first four games in charge, Powell won only two of the final 19. The summer has seen a huge turnover of players with some of League One's prominent performers such as Rhoys Wiggins, Danny Green and Danny Hollands being recruited while old favourites such as Jos? Semedo and Therry Racon have moved on.

We Grecians try to be positive, but after five years of progress under manager Paul Tisdale, many of us are bracing ourselves for a tough season.

There are a couple of interesting new signings, notably former Swansea swashbuckler Guillem Bauza. However, if 2011-12 is to see further progress at St James Park, it will be with one of the division's smallest and most youthful squads.

When the final whistle at Old Trafford, and the free T-shirts provided for all fans to add the assumed owner of our celebrations, began to bestir themselves on the court, would the reality in the Huddersfield Town again set off a new season in League One.

Now that the malaise has lifted and pessimism is a growing sense of preseason optimism will be replaced, is once again our only hope for this season in order to escape this division and to win automatic promotion, play as a different tilt simply end we could all gone.

If we can get the balance right of the page and find the net with more regularity, I can no reason why we can not go automatically and avoid the play-offs to see any price, as last season I Old Trafford I was nine and went free T-shirts.

These players along with the other young people play a major role in the upcoming season and we are on the experienced players such as Ian Ashbee and Clarke Carlisle be instructed to help them through.

So in conclusion, I think it 's fair to say that the PNE faithful are high expectations for the coming season have - nothing less than a place in the play-offs would be acceptable - promotion back to the Championship is our main goal - but we have full confidence in Phil Brown to make it happen. After struggling for a few seasons to avoid relegation, it would be nice to see Tranmere much earlier in the rankings. And that could be possible if we can keep our most important players on the pitch.

We 've managed to keep the majority of the team together from last season, with the notable exception of Aaron Cresswell, who' s links to connect to Ipswich Town, and Dale Jennings, FC Bayern Munich joined (yes, you have read that last statement is true). Unfortunately at the time of writing, we have succeeded haven 't add much to the squad on the good players we have already built. Ian Goodison, Andy Robinson, Enoch Showunmi, to name only three, all of a good standard for this area, but it would be nice if we could still get a few good players to add it.

The key is our strongest XI and keep fit and healthy on the field. I think we have a very strong team if we can always choose our best players, but a lack of depth could cost us if we suffer any major injuries or suspensions. Wanderers head into the 2011-12 season with a touch of uncertainty about what the future brings. Having bounced back to League One after just one season in the basement division, news off the field for the Wanderers could be as significant as that from.

In July 2011, grandiose plans for a so-called "community stadium and sports village" current tenants of Wanderers and London Wasps were entered into contact are shared by the council.
