deposed the former Libyan leader promises never to leave the country and denies allegations that it is in neighboring Niger
Muammar Gaddafi has issued a message of defiance from his hiding place in which he promised "not to leave the land of their ancestors" and denied allegations that he had fled the country to neighboring Niger .
The phone message, broadcast on Syrian television, Arrai, is believed to have emerged in Libya. Some rebel leaders say that the former dictator could be in the town of Bani Walid, who still refuses to surrender to the forces loyal to the new government of Libya.
night, columns of fighters of the National Transitional Council were seen in the direction of the city, shouting anti-Gaddafi vans.
"We're going to Bani Walid slowly. There was a message to Gaddafi Bani Walid night, "said the commander unit Jamal Gourji NTC Reuters.
In the audio message, the former head of Libya said he hoped a new uprising in the capital. "Young people are ready to intensify the resistance against the" rats "[the rebels] in Tripoli and to do away with mercenaries," Gaddafi said.
"All these germs, rats and bastards, who are not Libyan, ask anyone. They have cooperated with NATO, "he said.
Last Broadcast TV Arraia message via Gaddafi, who has not been seen in public for months, in early September, when he urged supporters to "continue the fight" and promised to to Libya "in hell."
In the new message, Gaddafi denied reports he had fled to Niger in a column of vehicles of heading to the border. Referring to himself in third person, Gaddafi said: "The columns of the unit convoys in and out of freight and people of Niger in and out [of Libya] Kadhafi said of go to Niger, "said." This is not the first time convoys in and out of Niger. "
- earlier this week, it emerged that the former counselor Dhao Mansour Gaddafi was allowed into the country "for humanitarian reasons." Foreign Minister of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, said at least three convoys arrived in the country containing, according to him, several pro-business and ag Gaddafi Alambo Agaly, a Tuareg rebel leader. There were fewer than 20 of them, he said, and would be free to stay Niger. The United States said he believed that the main figures Gaddafi regime had crossed the border, but not Gaddafi himself.
- In an interview with the BBC Wednesday, officials confirmed Bazoum Niger had also crossed the border as part of a series of convoys fleeing across the Libyan desert. But Gaddafi denied or their children had gone to Niger. "There is no new Gaddafi in Niger, we have not heard from him is not true that he tried to enter or has entered Niger in Niger," he said.
earlier this week, the National Transitional Council announced that it had sent a delegation to Niamey in Niger to discuss how to stop "any attempt at infiltration" of Gaddafi and his family.
Fathi Baja, head of Political Affairs of the CTN, said the group was determined to try to prevent the dictator fled to Niger and Algeria. "I think it is near one of these limits ... and it is looking for an opportunity to leave. We call on all countries that do not. We want these people to justice "Low told Reuters.
