The first four remained out of reach of Newcastle United as the summer came to an abrupt end in the last game against Everton. Alan Pardew side were beaten convincingly while Tim Cahill was sent off in the final seconds of taking Everton for Yohan Cabaye throat. Neither the club, however, will head into the summer house too many regrets.
