Strauss-Kahn should be told that you can leave the U.S. for the first time since the arrest on charges of sexually assaulting hotel workers

U.S. prosecutors have confirmed they have asked a judge to dismiss all charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former French presidential candidate accused of attempted rape of a woman from hotel room .

The move puts an end to one of the most controversial sex scandals of recent decades. Strauss-Kahn, is expected in court Tuesday, where he says it's a free man and be allowed to leave the country for the first time since his arrest in May on charges that he tried to rape the hotel worker Nafissatou Diallo.

In court documents filed Monday, the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus Vance, said: "The nature and number of lies the author leaves us not to believe his story more beyond a reasonable doubt, whatever the truth may be about the meeting between the plaintiff and defendant.

"Unless you believe beyond a reasonable doubt, we can not ask a jury to resolve."

Diallo, Ken Thompson, has attacked the decision: "The Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus Vance, denied the right of women to justice in a rape case," he said. " It has not only turned away from the victim, but also turned their backs on the forensic evidence, medical physics and also in this case. If the District Attorney of Manhattan, who is elected to protect our mothers, our daughters, our sisters, our wives and our loved ones, will not fight for them when they were raped or sexually assaulted, who will? "

Diallo and his lawyers met with the team on the afternoon of the district attorney Monday. Thompson said the meeting lasted 30 seconds and that prosecutors have said Diallo was fired for lying repeatedly to the same thing. Called the meeting "disrespect."

The demonstrators held a rally in support of Vance Diallo outside the office and asked him to resign.

His story seemed to be supported by forensic evidence, and the semen was found in his uniform and the carpet in the room where the incident took place. Although Strauss-Kahn's lawyers never denied a sexual relationship took place, the credibility of Diallo was attacked as it became clear he had lied to officials on numerous occasions, including agents immigration on complaints that had been raped in Guinea, the country of origin.

As credibility problems on the surface, Diallo lawyers clashed with the office of Vance and fought their case in public. Diallo, filed a civil complaint against the former head of the IMF on August 8, a move that legal experts said they did Vance's position even more difficult.
